CERTISPEC3.2, a computerized sizing guide from Rheem-Ruud Commercial Water Heathers is now available online at rheem.com. The new software covers Rheem-Ruud’s commercial water heater offerings, including the six new models in the SPIDERfire® line of condensing-type, gas-fired, commercial water heaters.
New users can download the new software through the Commercial Products section of the Rheem Water Heaters web site, while existing users should click the “check for update” button under the file tab of CERTISPEC3.1
New features include a fuel cost calculator that compares annual fuel consumption for gas versus electric units, as well as for standard 80-precent efficient models versus 95-percnet-efficient units. Special tables and charts help users calculate combinations of water heaters and storage tanks to meet the demands of larger applications and also include a cross-reference guide to small-volume ASME units from both Rheem-Ruud and its competitors. The project files in the new system also are compatible with Microsoft Word, allowing users to save and print out information on their own company letterhead or to email job files as attachments.
To run CERTISPEC3.2, users must be operating in Windows 95/98, Windows NT4.x, Window XP or better; with a Pentium® 90 or higher processor; and have at least 16 MB of RAM (although 32 megabytes is recommended); 800 x 600 display resolution; and disk space of at least six megabytes.
