2010 Catgories
Ecommercial*:
Environmentally responsible, high-performing commercial, industrial, or institutional projects

Greenhouse*: Environmentally responsible, high-performing residential projects (including single family and multi-family structures)

On the Boards: Unbuilt commercial, industrial, institutional or residential projects that address environmental performance and sustainable design and construction

Perspective: Nominate a thought leader and industry professional who is moving the green building movement forward

* Entries in these categories are judged on both design excellence and building performance. Please submit as much actual energy- and water-consumption data as possible with each entry. A minimum of 12 months of actual data is strongly encouraged.

Eligibility
Architects, developers, contractors, and other building professionals practicing in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico may submit projects in this year’s competition. Ecommercial and Greenhouse entries must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2006. On the Boards entries must be unbuilt. Green building professionals may be entered as individuals in the Perspective category.

Projects that have won other awards are eligible. Projects than have won past Evergreen Awards, however, are not eligible for re-entry.

Judging
An independent panel of respected building professionals will select winners from each category based on integrated-design approach, quality of design and function, sustainable initiatives. Judging will take place in July 2010. Winners will be notified by September 1, 2010, published in the November/December 2010 issue of Eco-Structure, featured online at eco-structure.com, and honored at an event during Greenbuild international Conference and Expo in November 2010.

2010 Deadlines and Fees 

Deadline for registration and entry: July 1, 2010

Fees: $100 for first entry; $75 for any additional entries. A project may only be entered in one category, however a firm may enter more than one project in the competition.

Late entries will be accepted from July 1 until close of business on July 13, 2009, however a late fee of $50 per entry will apply, raising entry prices to $150 for first entries and $125 for any additional entries.

Absolutely no entries will be accepted after July 13, 2010.

How to Enter 
Entering a project in the competition is a three-step process that involves uploading entry components to a secure ftp site. Full entry instructions and forms will be posted on this page by March 1, 2010.
